If It Works, Use It has the opportunity to assist those who are ready to look at opinions, beliefs and the lived experience in all of its myriad facets and take ownership in order to be free. Awakening is as individual as a thumbprint and while some people believe that it has to be forced by suffering, it does not need to be though it is possible that the bitterness of unfulfilled expectation can compel a deeper truth.

Toni possesses the spectrum of strength and gentleness to a degree that causes the reader to want "in".  Her teachings and books reflect adherence to a middle way enabling the reader to unearth all of the bits and pieces, the hidden corners, exposing them to the light of neutrality. This book offers permission to look at the darker experiences of one’s life and see them as bejeweled crowns of enlightenment.

Toni handles her writing and experience in a way that is terribly responsible and those who are ready for it will respond. She opens her spiritual realizations to the reader, which is what all want in a Master Teacher, and yet it is like finding the Wizard behind the curtain. Some of the "mystique" is unveiled so the reader can realize the individual, personal power to come home. It seems nobody wants it to be so easy to remember. A price to pay holds appeal, though it "ain't necessarily so".

As a Master Teacher, Toni is absolutely committed to assisting all spiritual seekers remember they are I AM.

The answer to, “How did you get to be who you are?” is answered in If It Works, Use It.

In this book If It Works, Use It the author, who has a ministerial doctorate in metaphysics, has set out with the goal of answering the question, “How did you get to be who you are?” After being asked the question by multiple people, Toni Elizaeth Sar’h Petrinovich decided to write about the question and answer it using her moments in time of 37 different perceptions to give readers examples and lessons. One of the first interesting points the author brought up was about slippage and I immediately identified this with a déjà vu moment. Petrinovich explains how it occurs when the frequency rate in another dimension is similar to the rate in our dimension. That was a perspective I had not thought of before. I have always joked that there is a parallel universe out there when this happens. Petrinovich has the perspective that there is. She also talks about nothing being supernatural and everything being natural. Another perspective about feeling like you need to help others and the feeling of it being a cloak around you was a fantastic call to trust in yourself and reaffirm you are going in the right direction. Acceptance of other people’s perspectives was another point. The fact that she called her husband a “heapoligist” who creates piles when he is working and how she accepts that in him showed her sense of humour in accepting different points of view.

I enjoyed the thought-provoking material in this novel. All 37 perceptions were interesting and the whole book was eye-opening and well written. It wasn’t something you could sit down and read in one sitting but to read one perception, put it down and either go back and read it again or move onto the next one was satisfying. It would have been even better to read it with a friend or a book club to discuss the material. It was a unique perspective of life and our place in it and worthy of a read to test the boundaries of what you believe in. It was the acceptance of If It Works, Use It!
